Completed a Degree in Physical Chemistry at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU, Spain) in 1995 and received a PhD in Science from the University of the Basque Country in 2001. Her postdoctoral training started at the University of Castilla La Mancha (UCLM, Spain), where she moved when she got a postdoctoral position by a two year stage funded by the Basque Government Grant. This period allowed her to collaborate with several groups and starting a new line of fabrication of thin films through laser ablation and PLD techniques. Then she joined the Ramón y Cajal Program of the Spanish Government at the UPV/EHU (2005-2010). She was a member of the Spectroscopy Group that set up a research line for the fabrication and characterization of nanostructures including techniques like Interference Lithography. Since May 2011 she holds a permanent position as staff researcher of the University of the Basque Country.
